South Coast Silk Screen prints

I am lucky enough to live on the beautiful south coast of Wellington, New Zealand. The view outside my window is a continual shifting inspiration of colour, light and shape and part of my own soul food includes bringing these images to life through a process of silk screen printing. 

The process involves cutting paper stencils for each of the colours, laying them on a silk screen frame and forcing ink through using a squeegee. One colour is applied at a time. After that, a variety of overlays of various techniques are employed. The result is a unique, handmade composite image. The prints have texture and depth of colour and are printed on thick 300 gsm cartridge paper, all an A3 size.
